Eaton's EPG CHD EP Americas division is currently seeking a Warehouse Worker - 1st Shift. This position is based at our Roanoke, VA facility. The core hours are 7:00 am to 3:30 pm. The hourly rate for this position is $20.78 per hour.Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.What you'll do: Manually pick products off shelves to fill orders.Transport in-progress orders to location of next item on order listLift products manuallyScan products using Radio Frequency (RF) unitsDetermine order information using Radio Frequency (RF) unitsFill boxes with packaging materials to avoid order damageLift products to place them in boxesFollow safety procedures for equipment use to reduce potential for accidentsCount product quantities to fill ordersTransport picked orders to packing station to be prepared for shippingBuild appropriate (correct size) box based on order, weight, and sizeLabel boxes with barcodes for product and order trackingUnderstand safety procedures for picking products off shelvesFollow packaging procedures for pallets to fill large ordersMonitor equipment to ensure proper functioningClean factory to maintain proper work environmentReview manifests, invoices, and orders to ensure accurate ordersExamine products to ensure damaged products are not shippedLift products to place them on palletLift things from ground level to a level of 3 feetUnderstand quota requirements to accomplish required production levelQualifications: High School Diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited institution.Eaton will not consider applicants for employment, immigration sponsorship or support for this position.
