Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Radiology Technologist Discipline: Allied Health Professional Start Date: 08/10/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 40 hours per week Shift: 8 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Assignment Overview Shift: Days, 5x8hrs Hours: 40 hrs/wk Start Date: Aug 10, 2026 Length: 13 weeks Openings: 1 Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced Radiology Technologist - X-Ray for an outpatient position requiring proficiency in a broad range of musculoskeletal, chest, spine, and extremity imaging across adult and pediatric populations. Details Outpatient imaging setting serving adult and pediatric patient populations, including neonates, infants, adolescents, and geriatrics Upper extremity imaging includes AC joints, clavicle, elbow, forearm, hand, humerus, scapula, shoulder, thumb/finger, trauma shoulder/humerus (Scapular Y, Transthoracic, Axial), trauma upper extremity (non-shoulder), and wrist Lower extremity imaging includes ankle, calcaneus, femur, foot, knee, patella, tibia-fibula, toes, and trauma lower extremity Head and chest imaging includes chest AP, upper airway, facial bones, paranasal sinuses, and skull Spine and pelvis imaging includes cervical, lumbar, and thoracic spine, hip, pelvis, and sacrum/coccyx Schedule is 5x8-hour day shifts, Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM No on-call requirement Epic and Siemens experience required Requirements Current BLS certification required Virginia state license required; any active state license in hand is accepted, as Virginia will grant emergency authorization to travelers while their permanent VA license is processing — license required if applicable Experience with the full range of upper and lower extremity, head/chest, and spine/pelvis X-ray procedures as outlined Proficiency with Epic EMR and Siemens imaging equipment required First-time travelers will not be considered for this position Candidates must meet facility radius requirements to be eligible Two professional references required for consideration Copy of driver's license and Social Security card required for consideration Additional Information Perform diagnostic X-ray imaging across a wide range of anatomical regions for outpatient orthopedic and neuroscience patients All time-off requests must be submitted at the time of application The facility reserves the right to call off up to 1 shift per 2-week period Local candidates are not accepted for this position American Traveler Job ID P-732915.
