Medical Interpreter

Provides accurate language interpreting services for patients to ensure effectively communication with health care providers and promote a positive patient care experience.

• Provides accurate sign language interpreting services to patients with hearing impairments. All interpretations are to be absolutely accurate and complete, without substitutions or omissions
• Maintains competency in language skills and interpretive procedures
• Maintains strict confidentiality of patient information and does not disclose information outside the treating team.
• Promotes Carilion Clinics Culture of Excellence and quality service through teamwork, respectful communication, maintenance of a professional environment, partnership with those we serve in anticipation of patient/customer needs.
