Second Shift Shipping Operations Lead

The Second Shift Shipping Operations Lead is responsible for maintaining the integrity and required temperatures of finished products through the holding process, loading of product, and final shipment. Essential duties and responsibilities include:

• Leading/monitoring the shipping staff in all areas including timekeeping, training, safety awareness, attendance tracking, scheduling, etc.
• Maintaining all GMP, SSOP, and HACCP for both shipping and second shift ground turkey operations.
• Working closely with Sales and Transportation Departments to ensure that all orders are filled correctly for timely shipment and delivery. Must coordinate with outside carriers frequently.
• Ensuring that all shipping paperwork is maintained as required and ensures that the shipping information in the envelope matches what is written on the shipping envelope.
• Ensuring customer orders are completed in a timely manner and meet all sales, customer, and USDA requirements.
• Loading and unloading trailers using jacks and/or forklifts as needed
• Driving company trucks to move trailers around lot (using yard truck)
• Routine auditing of existing procedures to verify they are being followed in their entirety by responsible personnel (loading procedures, seals, etc.)
• Ensuring that the shipping information that is in the envelope matches what is written on the envelope.
• Commit to enhance the reputation of our products and maintain consumer confidence in our products through the development and implementation of written safety, legal, and quality food safety systems, programs, and practices.
• Must maintain training and licenses for operation of pallet jack, forklift, and yard truck.
• Must maintain an excellent attendance record
• Must follow all safety procedures and requirements

Education, training, and certifications:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Computer skills required
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Pallet jack license preferred
• Forklift license preferred
• Yard truck license preferred

Experience:

• Three to seven years related experience
