Job Details Job Location: PMC-Roanoke Family Store – ROANOKE, VA 24012Job Category: PropertyAbout This Opportunity Schedule/Hours: Monday–Friday, 9:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.Pay Class: Part time, 29 hours (non-exempt)Pay: $13.00–$13.50This position is responsible for:Under the general supervision of the Area Commanders, the Warehouse Worker is responsible for the receipt, storage, and distribution of donations given to The Salvation Army during the Christmas season. The Warehouse Worker will assist with loading, unloading, and sorting donations; moving donations and other materials into the warehouse; assist in the set up, clean up and break down of the warehouse. He/she may also act in the capacity of a Truck Driver as needed.Key Responsibilities Receive, store, sort, and distributeLoad, unload, move, and organize donated goods and materialsOperate Salvation Army vehicles safelyMaintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse environmentProvide excellent customer service and support to donors, volunteers, staff, and community partnerPhysical Requirements and Working Conditions Ability to lift scales, hand trucks, and dolliesAbility to meet attendance requirementsAbility to read, write and communicate in the English languageAbility to perform route mathematical calculationsAbility to occasionally lift boxes of materials, donationsAbility to load, unload, secure and protect goodsAbility to set up and break down materials at eventsThe working environment is a warehouse with a cement floor where a majority of the day is spent. Temperatures in the warehouse and dock area may, at times, be very cold, depending on the varying weather and temperatures during the season. Temperatures vary from approximately 30 degrees to below 0 in the winter. Position involves going in and out of the warehouse space into the cold throughout the day.Qualifications High school diploma or G.E.D.; and two years experience in sorting, receiving, storing, loading, and unloading of materials in a warehouse or store setting; or any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.Licenses and Certifications Valid State Driver's License.Equal Opportunity Employer: Veterans | Disabled#J-18808-Ljbffr
