Performs responsible skilled clerical and technical work in the Office of the Circuit Court. Is deputized and administers oaths and conducts routine transactions on behalf of or in lieu of the Clerk of the Circuit Court. Attends court hearings, swears witnesses, and identifies and tracks physical evidence. May be trained to operate microfilming equipment which meets state standards for storage and management of vital records. Performs other duties as assigned.
Education: High school diploma or equivalent supplemented by business school or college level courses or training in business administration or a related field. Experience: Some experience in legal field, court system, or related area. Certifications/ Licenses: None Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Subject to a complete criminal history and Child Protective Services background search with acceptable results. Must also be able to perform the job as described in the Physical and Environmental Demands section of this job description.
