Cross Country Nurses is seeking a travel Surgical Technologist for a travel job in Salem, Virginia. Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Surgical Technologist Discipline: Allied Health Professional Start Date: 06/29/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Job Summary: A Certified Operating Room Technician (ORT CERT) position is available in Salem, Virginia. This role involves supporting surgical procedures in a versatile operating room environment. The ideal candidate must possess at least two years of experience, preferably in a level II or higher healthcare setting. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day of employment. Job Details: Location: Salem, VA Shift: Nights, with a schedule of 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week Certifications Required: Basic Life Support (BLS) Education/Experience: Must have 2 or more years of experience in operating room settings, with proficiency in orthopedic trauma, cranial procedures, and robotic surgeries using DaVinci robots Skills: Proficient in orthopedic trauma, cranial procedures, DaVinci robotic surgeries, cystoscopy, lumbar laminectomy, total joints, robotic gynecological procedures, ENT surgeries, minimal plastic surgeries, and breast surgeries Equipment and Documentation: Experience working with Hanah Tables, Jackson tables, vascular beds, cysto beds, robot beds, and Meditech electronic medical records system Schedule: 8, 10, or 12-hour shifts available with a minimum of 36 hours per week Additional Information: Call is required one night per week and one and a half weekends every eight weeks; weekends are 48 hours, and half weekends are 24 hours Benefits: The benefits of taking a travel assignment with Cross Country include: Private housing or generous housing allowance Comprehensive health insurance with prescription coverage Dependent health insurance with prescription coverage Competitive salaries Referral bonuses Travel reimbursement 401(k) retirement plan Direct deposit/free checking Unlimited free CE credits Cross Country Job ID 1277582.
