Cross Country Nurses is seeking a travel Surgical Technologist for a travel job in Salem, Virginia. Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Surgical Technologist Discipline: Allied Health Professional Start Date: 06/29/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Certified Operating Room Tech (ORT CERT) Salem, Virginia The organization is seeking a Certified Operating Room Technician (ORT) for an Operating Room (OR) role in Salem, Virginia. This position supports surgical services in an OR environment where proficient clinical support skills are required, including orthopedics and crani-related procedures. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day. Job Details Schedule: Nights; 12 shift hours; minimum 36 hours per week. Call 1 night per week and 1 weekend every 8 weeks (weekends are 48 hours; a half weekend is 24 hours). Required Qualifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; 2 years of operating room experience; experience in a Level II (or higher) setting; proficiency in orthopaedic trauma and crani procedures; proficiency with DaVinci robots; ability to support cystoscopy, lumbar laminectomy, total joints, robotic general (including appy and laparoscopic cholecystectomy), robotic GYN, ENT, and minimal plastic and breast procedures. Preferred Qualifications: None specified. Additional Information: OR room environment includes Hanah tables, Jackson tables, vascular beds, cysto beds, and robot beds. Documentation is completed using Meditech. Unit guidelines and policies must be followed. 8-, 10-, and 12-hour shifts are available.
