What We Offer Reporting to the SVP, Public Affairs, the Director, Federal Government Affairs leads efforts to introduce, monitor, and influence legislation and regulations at the federal level. This individual will develop, manage, and maintain relationships with key elected officials, Administration officials, and Congressional office, committee, and agency staff. This position will serve as primary liaison to federal healthcare trade associations, organizations, as well as other permanent and strategic ad hoc coalitions. The Director will work closely with other leaders within the Public Affairs and Government Relations team, as well as cross-functional internal teams and departments, to align policy positions and messaging in all venues. What We're Looking For * Education: 4 Year / Bachelors Degree, required. Graduate Degree, preferred.
* Experience: 8 years, required. Experience in legislative and/or government relations; healthcare policy issue experience, coalition and partner development. Existing relationships with service area Congressional offices, key committee staff and lawmakers preferred.

* Strong communication, relationship-building, and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to clearly convey complex policy and legislative issues to diverse audiences.
* Demonstrated experience building and maintaining effective working relationships with elected officials, Administration officials, and their staff, in support of organizational objectives.
* Experience supporting political or issue-based campaigns, either as staff or as a strategic advisor, with an understanding of campaign dynamics and stakeholder engagement.
* Solid knowledge of legislative and congressional processes, including committee structures, calendars, and key stakeholders.
* Proven people leadership skills with the ability to foster a collaborative team culture aligned with the organization's mission and public policy goals.
* Experience advising senior leaders, including executive and C-suite leaders, by providing analysis, recommendations, and strategic input on political, policy, and elected official engagement strategies.
* Demonstrated career progression with increasing scope and responsibility in government relations, public affairs, or related roles.
* Strong self-management skills, including the ability to use sound judgment, initiative, and effective time management to prioritize work and deliver results.
* Professional presence and judgment, including the ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately.
