Job Description Job Description HiFyve is hiring a Heavy Equipment Mechanic in the construction industry in Roanoke, TX!Salary: $30/hr – $45/hr (based on experience)Shift: Full-Time – 1st Shift (Monday–Friday)Location: On-site – Roanoke, TXPosition OverviewWe are hiring an experienced Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join a leading civil construction company in Roanoke, TX .This position focuses on the diagnosis, repair, and maintenance of Caterpillar and other major-brand heavy construction equipment used across earthmoving, excavation, and utility projects .This is a hands-on, first-shift shop role offering long-term stability, competitive pay, and the opportunity to work with a highly skilled, safety-driven team.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform diagnostic troubleshooting, repairs, and preventive maintenance on heavy equipment including dozers, excavators, loaders, graders, backhoes, and haul trucks .Inspect, repair, and replace hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems as needed.Utilize CAT ET and CAT SIS diagnostic software to identify and resolve issues.Conduct regular inspections to ensure equipment reliability and performance.Maintain accurate service records and communicate repair updates to supervisors.Collaborate with operators and site teams to minimize downtime and maximize uptime.Follow all company and OSHA safety protocols during shop and field work.Qualifications3+ years of hands-on experience as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic or Diesel Technician.Strong background with Caterpillar equipment.Proficiency with CAT ET and CAT SIS required.Skilled in hydraulic, electrical, and engine troubleshooting .Experience with civil construction equipment such as graders, dozers, compactors, and scrapers .Must be dependable, safety-focused, and able to work independently.Valid driver's license required; own tools preferred.Compensation & SchedulePay: $30 – $45/hour (based on experience)Shift: 1st Shift, Monday–FridayLocation: Roanoke, TX (on-site, full-time)
