📍 Roanoke, VA (Hybrid – 3–4 days onsite)

💰 $75K–$90K + growth potential

What You'll Be Doing

  • Design and develop electrical layouts and engineering drawings for substation and transmission projects
  • Create design packages including layouts, materials lists, and equipment specifications
  • Support the design of transmission lines and substation systems with a focus on safety and efficiency
  • Work closely with engineers, designers, and project teams to bring projects from concept to completion
  • Assist with project planning, including estimates, schedules, and scopes
  • Contribute to solving engineering challenges and improving designs

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical preferred, but open)
  • 1+ year of experience in the utility, power, or energy industry
  • Basic understanding of power systems (generation, transmission, distribution)
  • Experience with or exposure to CAD tools (AutoCAD or similar)
  • Ability to read technical drawings and engineering documents
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Motivated, team-oriented, and eager to learn

Nice to Have (Not Required)

  • Experience with substation or transmission design
  • Familiarity with engineering calculations related to structures or electrical systems
