Role Overview

As a Residential Electrical Service Technician, you'll deliver safe, high-quality electrical services in customers' homes. You'll troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, install, and replace residential electrical systems while adhering to all local codes and safety standards. You'll also explain findings, pricing, and upgrade options clearly and professionally to homeowners.

Key Responsibilities

• Respond to residential electrical service calls
• Diagnose and repair electrical issues efficiently
• Install and replace residential electrical components and systems
• Provide professional, courteous customer service
• Recommend system upgrades or replacements when appropriate
• Clearly explain pricing, scope of work, and options
• Complete service documentation using mobile software
• Collect payments upon job completion

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months of residential electrical experience (3+ years preferred higher pay available)
• Experience troubleshooting, diagnosing, repairing, and installing electrical systems
• High school diploma or GED
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
• Ability to work in enclosed spaces and residential environments
• Comfortable using smartphones/tablets for service documentation
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Ability to pass background check and drug screening
• Authorized to work in the U.S.
• Local to or able to commute to Roanoke, VA 24018
