Job Details

The Painter prepares various surfaces as needed for painting, applies coats of paint, varnish, stain, other finishes and wallpapers to decorate and protect interior and exterior surfaces, equipment and furniture. Additionally performs a variety of basic mechanical and preventive maintenance, as well as inspections, servicing, repair and overhaul of equipment and facilities. The Painter. Investigates need for repairs, collaborating with other facility personnel to ensure timely completion of all approved maintenance projects. Receives assignments, reviews work orders and completes work as specified. Identifies and secures appropriate supplies and equipment, and selects appropriate process techniques. Coordinates, schedules and performs building finishes activities such as patching, painting, varnishing, staining, wall and frame protectors, VCT, base and wallpapering to decorate and protect interior and exterior surfaces.
