This is a fully remote role outside of court appearances. You must live in Virginia and MUST BE admitted to practice law in Virginia. Ideally, you live near Alexandria, Fairfax County or Roanoke for court appearances.**There are no billable hours and this is a strictly 40 hour per week role**This position imparts broad responsibilities and exposes you to a range of legal issues related to consumer protection, including transactional and civil litigation matters.You will manage litigation cases and resolve legal disputes on behalf of clients by developing agreements, negotiating contracts, setting claims and advocating for clients in court.Responsibilities: Maintaining and supervising a heavy & diversified caseload of the firm's clients in VACommunicating with clients regarding their respective mattersDrafting pleadings, motions, legal memoranda, reviewing & drafting agreements, etc.Communicating with opposing parties to resolve/settle claimsLegal research related to simple and complex issues in contract law and other areas of consumer lawQualifications: Must be currently admitted to practice law in VA (multi-state admission would be amazing)Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience at a law firmSeniority level Entry levelEmployment type Full-timeJob function LegalIndustries Law Practice and Legal Services#J-18808-Ljbffr
