A company is looking for a Physician Coder: Neurosurgery.Key ResponsibilitiesReview and accurately code Neurosurgery surgical and E/M cases to maximize reimbursementMeet daily production and quality goals, maintaining an average accuracy rate of 95%Stay current on coding guidelines and communicate with leadership on coding issuesRequired QualificationsHigh School diploma required; Associate or BS degree preferredCompletion of an AHIMA or AAPC-certified program with a required credential (CCS, CPC, etc.)Minimum of 3 years of physician coding experience in NeurosurgeryProficient knowledge of anatomy, medical terminology, CPT and ICD-10-CM codingProficiency with Microsoft Office and electronic healthcare record systems
