A company is looking for a Hospital Outpatient Specialty Coder.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform charge entry by reviewing data from practice sites and investigating incomplete chargesAbstract clinical information and translate medical documentation into accurate diagnoses and procedural codesMaintain knowledge of coding regulations and assist with billing functions, including claim submission and denial resolutionRequired QualificationsHigh School Diploma or GED required; Associate Degree preferredCertified Professional Coder (CPC) or Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) requiredThree to five years of experience in emergency room coding, infusion coding, or specialty clinic procedure coding preferredKnowledge of medical terminology requiredProficient with Microsoft Office
