Job Description
Job Title: Electrophysiology Lab Tech

License: Active state license required (in hand or pending)
Certifications: ACLS, BLS, ARRT (R) or CCI RCES/RCIS

Must-Have: EP Lab experience, sterile technique, EKG lead placement, dysrhythmia recognition and interpretation, cardiac background

Description:
The Electrophysiology Lab Tech position involves rotating late shifts with no weekend or call requirements.
Staff members may be required to stay late if a case extends into the evening.
All staff will sign up for late shift coverage in rotation.
Charting must be completed using the Epic system.

All requests for time off must be submitted upfront.
The facility may call off one shift per two weeks.
One holiday must be worked during each 13-week contract in rotation with staff.

The role requires proficiency in EP mapping and scrubbing/circulating all procedures, including ablations and devices.
Experience with Micropace/LSPro and Epic/Cupid documentation is necessary.
Knowledge about isolation precautions, equipment handling, and supply management is critical.

This position is situated within a well-respected acute care teaching hospital recognized for excellence in various services.
The facility features advanced labs that perform numerous diagnostic and interventional procedures annually.

Applicants should have experience in diagnostic cardiac cath lab and interventional radiology.
Skills in arrhythmia induction, baseline measurements, cardiac ablation, and cardiac mapping are required.
The technician will be responsible for monitoring equipment setup and performing EKG lead placement.
Recognition of life-threatening arrhythmias and maintaining a sterile field during procedures are essential skills.

The role provides interdisciplinary support and focuses on electrophysiology patients.
Familiarity with special equipment related to electrophysiology is also necessary.
Candidates must be prepared to work in a dynamic and demanding healthcare environment.
