Admissions Coordinator
Full - Time | Richmond, VA
Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00 am - 5:00 pm

As an Admissions Coordinator at our Richmond location, you will serve as the first point of contact for individuals seekinghelp. This role is critical in creating a welcoming, supportive, and organized admissions experience while helping patients take their first steps toward recovery. You will coordinate intake services, verify benefits, and support care planning to ensure a smooth and compassionate admission process.

Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of one (1) year of intake or admissions experience, preferably in a behavioral healthcare setting
Preferred Qualifications
  • Undergraduate or graduate degree from an accredited college or university
  • Three (3) years of intake or admissions experience in behavioral healthcare
Responsibilities
  • Coordinate admissions and discharges for patients
  • Verify insurance benefits and eligibility
  • Assist with utilization review and billing-related issues
  • Collect co-pays, deductibles, and other fees at admission, during treatment, or at discharge
  • Arrange patient payment plans as needed
  • Serve as a liaison to patients regarding insurance benefits and coverage
  • Schedule and complete admission assessments and required documentation
  • Attend team meetings and complete required training in a timely manner
  • Perform other duties as assigned
