Overview Join to apply for the Online Teacher - Fully Remote! role at Cosmo . Cosmo 1:1 connects K-12 students with tutors from top US and Canadian universities for personalized lessons. Tutors set a flexible, consistent schedule. We teach math, ELA, and SAT classes and have Cosmo provided learning plans.This opportunity is for experienced educators to teach in an after-school setting. You will meet with your student for 50 minutes, 1-on-1, each week. You should be reliable, well-prepared, on time, and maintain a passionate and kind demeanor.Responsibilities Provide personalized 1-on-1 instruction for your studentsUpdate your availability in the Cosmo App in a timely mannerPrepare appropriate lesson materials for the student's age and abilitySubmit Class Feedback after each lessonCommunicate with parents and students in a professional mannerAttend all classes on time and in a professional settingCommunicate with Cosmo staffQualifications Bachelor's Degree3 years of experience teaching grades K-12 in math, ELA, or SAT prepExperience with K-12 ELA/Math standardsTeaching license preferred but not requiredFast and reliable internet connection and access to a Windows or Mac PCAble to commit to a minimum of 6 months of teaching with Cosmo1:1Available between 3-10 PM EST or 6-9 AM EST on Monday through Friday or during weekendsMinimum of 20 hours of availability on a weekly basisAccess to a private and quiet locationPassion for helping students learnCurrently located in the United States or CanadaApproachable, patient, adaptive, considerate, enthusiastic, and reliable demeanor in an online classroomEmployment type & Seniority Seniority level: Entry levelEmployment type: Part-timeJob function: EducationIndustries: Primary and Secondary Education, Education, and E-Learning ProvidersReferral note: Referrals increase your chances of interviewing at Cosmo.Get notified about new Teacher jobs in Michigan, United States.#J-18808-Ljbffr
