Security Officer - PT Mobile Patrol

As a Security Officer - PT Mobile Patrol in Christiansburg, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join a leading team where flexibility meets opportunity. As a Part-Time Security Officer, you can build a schedule that works for you and explore new roles using our Claim a Shift platform. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy retail location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, remain highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and support shoppers and store teams with courteous communication. You will document activity and use a computer and/or tablet as needed. At Allied Universal, you will work with a reliable, agile team that puts people first, innovates, and acts with integrity.

Day Time Sat 05:00 AM - 06:00 PM

Sun 05:00 AM - 10:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to customers, tenants, and/or staff by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location, including sales floors, common areas, corridors, entrances, and the exterior perimeter as assigned.
• Observe and report suspicious activity, potential theft indicators, and/or policy violations; communicate concerns to site leadership and/or law enforcement as directed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, providing assistance with de-escalation and documenting actions taken.
• Complete daily activity reports and incident documentation, monitor access points as assigned, and coordinate with store teams regarding security-related concerns and service needs.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• A guard card and/or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
