Our client, a global leader in smart, healthy, and sustainable building technologies, is seeking a Shipping/Receiving Clerk to join their team. As a Shipping/Receiving Clerk, you will be part of the warehouse operations supporting the logistics and supply chain team. The ideal candidate will demonstrate reliability, attention to detail, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Shipping/Receiving Clerk
Location: Salem, VA
Pay Range: $16 - $18 per hour
Shift: 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, Monday to Friday
What's the Job?
Package material for shipping to ensure safe and accurate delivery
Unpack received goods, verify count, and stock in assigned locations
Load and unload trucks, moving materials around the plant using forklift and pallet jack
Participate in maintaining a smooth, controlled flow of materials within the warehouse
Maintain a safe working environment and uphold safety standards at all times
What's Needed?
Minimum of 1 year experience operating a forklift and in warehouse operations with prior experience in shipping/receiving preferred
At least 3 years working in a manufacturing environment
Light carpentry skills, including the ability to use small power tools
High school diploma or equivalent
Strong oral and written communication skills in English
