Job Details

Plans, organizes, and manages the purchasing strategies and activities for the Lynchburg plant consistent with company policies, so that sufficient inventory of material is available for efficient plant operations at the lowest cost possible, coordinating non-stores material purchasing with Operations. Executes purchase orders and manages supply of products and services that are negotiated by central purchasing, ensuring compliance to supply agreements. Develops supplier relationships for materials and services not negotiated by central purchasing and negotiates with vendor representatives to obtain the best prices and service performance. Assures the efficient operation of the Storeroom including proper receipt and dispersal of material; timely and accurate entry of requisitions, receipts, and payment documentation into the plant operating system (ERP); processing of certificate of insurance and indemnity agreements; and maintenance of accurate inventories including cycle counts.
