Job Title: CNC Machine Operator (Plasma & Saw/Drill Line)

Location: Roanoke, VA

Shift: 1st Shift (Monday - Thursday, 5:00 AM - 3:30 PM; Friday, 5:00 AM - Noon)

Starting Pay: $22.00/hr

We are seeking a reliable and skilled CNC Machine Operator to join a leading structural steel fabrication team in the Roanoke area. This is a critical role in the production process, responsible for operating high-precision machinery to prepare steel components for major commercial construction projects. Key Responsibilities

• Machine Operation: Set up and operate CNC machinery, specifically focusing on plasma cutting tables and automated saw/drill lines.
• Precision Cutting: Load programs and monitor machine performance to ensure all steel parts are cut, drilled, and fabricated to exact project specifications.
• Material Handling: Safely load and unload heavy steel components onto machine beds using overhead cranes or forklifts as needed.
• Quality Control: Perform regular measurements and visual inspections of finished parts to ensure they meet high quality and tolerance standards.
• Maintenance: Perform basic daily maintenance and cleaning of spray tips, drill bits, and work areas to ensure equipment longevity.

• Experience: Proven experience as a CNC Machine Operator in a manufacturing or fabrication environment.
• Technical Skills: Specific experience with CNC Plasma Tables and/or Saw and Drill lines is highly preferred.
• Reliability: Must have a track record of excellent attendance, specifically for early morning shifts (5:00 AM start).
• Physical Ability: Ability to work in a non-climate-controlled fabrication shop and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Detail Oriented: Ability to read basic blueprints or shop drawings to verify part accuracy.
