GENERAL SUMMARY:

The Customer Loan Consultant is instrumental in delivering an outstanding customer experience by providing personalized loan solutions. This position focuses on building a strong customer base through effective sales strategies, loan renewals, and merchant referrals. Your success will be measured by the quality of customer interactions, the generation of new business, adherence to compliance, and the achievement of monthly performance goals with exceptional accuracy.

MAJOR DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Welcome and assist customers who enter the office or call; process credit and employment verifications; manage payments and distributions; provide recommendations related to loan approvals; approve loans within prescribed lending limits; facilitate loan closings; and engage in account activities for collections through effective communication.
  • Prepare reports, correspondence, and transaction documentation while maintaining precise records; handle cash drawer operations, process bank deposits, and ensure financial records balance; assist in closing the branch efficiently.
  • Actively promote all branch products and services to potential customers.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

BASIC REQUIREMENTS:

  • High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
  • 0-2 years of experience in consumer finance or a related field.
  • Experience with cash handling; proficient computer skills; excellent customer service abilities.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Windows, Excel, and Word applications.

PREFERRED/DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Associate's or Bachelor's Degree.
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English.
