Food Service Assistant (FSA)

Hotel Roanoke & Conference Center is seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Food Service Assistant (FSA) to join our restaurant team. This role is essential to the success of our dining operations and plays a key part in delivering memorable hospitality experiences to our guests.

The Food Service Assistant supports the service team by maintaining a clean, organized, and welcoming dining environment while assisting servers with service execution. This position is ideal for someone eager to begin or grow a career in the restaurant and hospitality industry at a world-class property.

Essential Functions

• Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the dining area to ensure a welcoming guest experience
• Set up, clear, clean, and reset tables efficiently and accurately
• Stock and maintain all service stations throughout the shift
• Assist servers with table service and guest needs as required
• Provide the highest level of service to guests at all times
• Maintain thorough knowledge of restaurant menus to support guest inquiries
• Work collaboratively with servers, kitchen staff, and leadership to support smooth operations
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management

What We're Looking For

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Strong customer service skills with a friendly, engaging personality
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to carry trays and lift/move items weighing up to 30 pounds
• A passion for hospitality and creating exceptional guest experiences
• Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
