Dispatcher (HandsOn / Yard Operations)

Shift: 1st Shift - Monday-Thursday, 5:00 AM-3:30 PM
Overtime: Frequent Fridays
Pay: $21.00/hour
Position Overview

We are seeking a reliable, handson Dispatcher to support daily operations in a fastpaced steel manufacturing environment. This is not a desk position. The Dispatcher coordinates material movement while actively working in the yard and shop to keep production running smoothly and safely.
Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and dispatch steel materials to appropriate departments based on production needs
• Operate cranes and forklifts to move materials throughout the facility
• Stage materials for processing, fabrication, and painting
• Assist with loading, unloading, and organizing steel inventory
• Perform general housekeeping to maintain a clean and safe work environment
• Support additional departments as needed, including:
  • Grinding
  • Prepping material for paint
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members to prioritize workflow
• Follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE at all times

• Prior experience operating forklifts and/or cranes (or willingness to be trained)
• Ability to perform physical work (lifting, moving, standing for long periods)
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
• Dependable attendance and punctuality - early morning start time required
• Ability to work overtime on Fridays
• Comfortable working in an industrial/manufacturing environment

• Experience in steel, manufacturing, or other industrial environments
• Experience with dispatching, logistics, or yard coordination
