Job Title: HVAC Installer Job Description

We are seeking a skilled HVAC Installer with over five years of experience, who is open to working in either residential or commercial settings. The ideal candidate should have the ability to manage projects with apprentices and possess knowledge in ductwork, piping, refrigeration, VRF, and electrical systems.

Responsibilities

• Install commercial HVAC systems, including equipment, ducts, fittings, and grills.

• Layout and connect electrical wiring.

• Perform system startups and ensure HVAC systems function properly.

• Interpret blueprints and adhere to building codes.

• Assist with other trades as needed.

Essential Skills

• Experience in HVAC installation with a focus on sheet metal, electrical, construction, and plumbing.

• Proficiency in ductwork, commercial HVAC systems, and conduit installation.

• Familiarity with blueprint reading, wiring, and troubleshooting.

• EPA Universal certification and OSHA 10 certification preferred.

• Strong skills in HVAC equipment handling, schematic reading, repair, and piping.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Ability to perform cross-functional tasks as required.

• Capability to work independently and in a team setting.

• Must pass MVR check when becoming permanent.

Work Environment

Work shifts are typically from 7 am to 5 pm, with the possibility of working four 10-hour days depending on project requirements. The work involves exposure to various weather conditions, both indoors and outdoors, and requires standing and walking throughout the day, as well as lifting and carrying up to 60 lbs. Employees can either carpool or drive themselves to sites, which are mostly local, with some in Wytheville, Covington, and Martinsville.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Roanoke, VA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $33.00/hr.
