Job Title: Maintenance Mechanic Job Description
As a Maintenance Mechanic, you will ensure the optimal performance and reliability of manufacturing equipment and machinery by conducting regular maintenance, troubleshooting mechanical issues, and implementing corrective actions. This role is crucial for minimizing downtime and maintaining production efficiency while adhering to safety protocols. Opportunities are available for the 2nd and 3rd shifts.
Responsibilities
Perform routine maintenance on manufacturing equipment.
Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues in machinery.
Implement repairs and modifications to restore equipment functionality.
Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
Assist in the installation of new manufacturing equipment.
Conduct performance tests on machinery to ascertain efficiency.
Perform line equipment set-ups by following setup sheets.
Duties may vary slightly by location.
Essential Skills
High School Diploma or equivalent.
1-3 years of experience in manufacturing maintenance or a related field.
High proficiency in mechanical troubleshooting, preventive maintenance techniques, and safety standards compliance.
High proficiency in interpreting technical documentation, hydraulic systems, and electrical systems knowledge.
Strong time management and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in mathematical skills and effective communication.
Attention to detail.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Technical or Vocational Training in Mechanical or Electrical Maintenance (Preferred).
Experience with hydraulic and electrical systems maintenance (Preferred).
Experience with PLC troubleshooting and repair.

Work Environment
The position is based in an indoor manufacturing facility operating on three shifts. The available shifts include 2nd (3p-11p) and 3rd (11p-7a), with initial training on the 1st shift (7a-3p) for the first month.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Roanoke, VA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $28.00/hr.
