Join Altec as a Supplier Quality Engineer!

We are looking for an enthusiastic and skilled engineering professional to become a vital part of our Quality organization. In this role, you will develop and implement Quality Assurance systems, collaborating with Customers, Suppliers, and various Altec departments to resolve quality issues effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

• Apply quality principles and formal training to identify and improve supplier quality issues.
• Contribute actively to Altec's team-oriented efforts in quality assurance, design, manufacturing, and customer service.
• Engage with suppliers and Altec associates regarding technical specifications, product design, and operational queries.
• Lead and participate in meetings focused on improvement and problem-solving with both suppliers and Altec teams.
• Analyze supplier performance data to drive improvement initiatives.
• Provide training for suppliers and Altec associates on quality-related methods and systems.
• Conduct audits of suppliers' quality systems and enforce follow-up corrective actions.
• Manage supplier corrective actions using Altec's Supplier Portal.
• Review and approve new supplier products and changes through PPAP and change management techniques.
• Maintain detailed records of supplier performance, meetings, and communications.
• Utilize Lean principles to enhance our products and processes.
• Assist in managing various sizes of Altec projects.

Education, Experience, and Skills Required:

• ABET EAC certified Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a Master's Degree in Engineering.
• A minimum of two (2) years' experience in an engineering role post-degree. Applicable Master's education counts as one year of experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• A proven ability to collaborate with team members while working under minimal supervision.
• Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time, potentially with short notice.
