divh2Supervisor of Warehouse - Receiving/h2pPOSITION SUMMARY/ppThe Warehouse Supervisor - Receiving leads and coordinates the activities of Warehouse Associates engaged in receiving. Drives site performance (cost, productivity, customer service metrics) and continuous improvement./ppSchedule: Monday - Friday, 6:30am - 3:30pm/ppstrongESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES/strong/pulliPlans work schedules and assigns duties to maintain adequate staff for effective performance of activities and response to fluctuating workloads. Steps in to perform work duties, if needed./liliResponsible for interviewing and providing feedback to HR team and/or Warehouse Manager./liliManages and directs work of functional team, including hiring, corrective action, performance appraisals and pay review, budget and processes./liliAbility to lead and motivate a large team, manage performance, and foster a collaborative and productive work environment in accordance with Wurth basic principles./liliImplement training programs to ensure staff are equipped with necessary skills and knowledge, including new employee onboarding./liliManage workforce planning, staffing, and labor relations to meet operational requirements./liliAssists with design and implementation of work methods and operational procedures for activities, such as verification of incoming and outgoing shipments, handling and disposition of materials, and keeping warehouse inventory current./liliCollaborates with all employees throughout the organization to address customer/warehouse related issues./liliConfers with Company personnel to ensure coordination of warehouse activities with activities of other departments such as sales and purchasing./liliDevelop project plans, coordinates project and communicate progress/liliReviews work throughout the work process and at completion to ensure that it has been performed properly./liliResponsible for proper maintenance of warehouse equipment, providing both preventative maintenance programs and all necessary repairs, including coordinating through third party vendors./liliSteps in and supports warehouse team in day-to-day activities as needed./liliEnsures that the warehouse personnel have safe, efficient equipment in order to perform required functions./liliResponsible for safety procedures in the department and ensuring employees receive effective and timely training in safe work practices and within the regulations of all OSHA local and state regulations. Demonstrates a commitment to health and safety by participating in safety meetings. Observes Safety policies, reports unsafe acts, hazards, and maintains clean and orderly department./liliEnsures that the warehouse is clean and orderly./liliResponsible for coordinating building and grounds maintenance, using department or third-party resources, as needed./liliReviews work processes, recommends measures to improve productivity, equipment performance, and quality of service, and suggests changes in working conditions to increase efficiency. Implements improvements to drive efficiency and effectiveness./liliAll other duties as assigned./li/ulpstrongEDUCATION, QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS ABILITIES/strong/pulliHigh School Diploma or GED required. Bachelors Degree preferred./lili3-5 years prior supervisory experience in a distribution/warehouse or logistics role required, having managed at least 4 direct reports./liliMaterial handling and forklift experience required./liliExperience motivating, developing, and directing people as they work, identifying the best people for the job./liliMust possess knowledge of warehouse, transportation and logistics best practices and basic safety practices./liliExcellent written and oral communication skills./liliAbility to manage multiple people, handle confidential information, manage projects relating to the operation, and manage multiple priorities./liliAbility to effectively consider the relative costs and benefits of potential actions and choose the most appropriate one. Ability to understand and manage an expense budget./liliProficient in Microsoft Office Products including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel./liliRequires lifting ability of up to 80 pounds. Requires working on concrete surfaces./liliAbility to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure with fractions and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent./li/ulpstrongPay:/strong $65,000 - 75,000/ppPay is based on several factors which vary based on position. These include labor markets and, in some instances, may include education, skills, work experience and certifications. You may also be eligible to participate in an annual incentive bonus.
