POSITION TITLE: Field Compliance Inspector Specialist

DEPARTMENT: MVI Field Services

REPORTS TO: Regional Compliance Manager

DESCRIPTION: Join our team as a Field Compliance Inspector Specialist! In this role, you will conduct visual inspections of Underground Storage Tank (UST) Systems and Fuel Pumps at major convenience store chains. You will ensure compliance with Federal, State, and other applicable UST Regulations, alongside client requirements. Represent MVI Field Services with professionalism and dedication, fostering client trust and efficiency. This is a highly adaptable position offering you autonomy.

No previous experience is required; comprehensive training will be provided.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Drive and maintain the company service truck, ensuring a clean driving record and storage of the vehicle at your home.
  • Willingness to frequently travel overnight each month, with the company covering expenses.
  • Possession of a valid U.S. driver's license.
  • Complete Class A/B Operator training and certification.
  • Stay informed on State and Federal EPA USTS requirements.
  • Conduct inspections of Underground Storage Tank Systems (USTS) and fuel facilities to ensure compliance.
  • Replace components and parts, including decals, gaskets, riser caps, and manway covers.
  • Maintain company vehicles and equipment in optimal condition, including strategy for preventative maintenance.
  • Stay updated on changes to equipment manufacturers' specifications and State UST Regulations.
  • Develop knowledge of client Underground Storage Tank Systems (USTS) components.
  • Follow the company expense policy and submit all itemized receipts by the 7th of each month.
  • Submit reports in a timely and accurate manner, including monthly schedules and expense reports through designated software systems.

MARGINAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Ability to understand and follow instructions in English.
  • Physical capability to lift up to 70 pounds.
  • Must be able to kneel, stand, lean, bend, and/or sit while working.
  • Basic computer skills and ability to navigate applications on smartphones.
  • Willingness to work in an outdoor environment.
  • Eligibility to work in the United States.
  • Maintain a professional appearance in company-provided attire.
  • Exhibit a friendly and positive attitude with client representatives.

EXPECTATIONS:

  • Thoroughly inspect all sites on your assigned route as per the monthly schedule.
  • Ability to set your own schedule, with a maximum of 8 inspections per day.
