We invite married couples to explore the role of Full-time Flex Houseparents, where you can profoundly influence the lives of young people.

As a couple, you will live in on-campus student homes, providing essential care, guidance, supervision, and support for approximately 8-13 students. Flex Houseparents play a vital role in cultivating a structured, nurturing environment that promotes students' academic, emotional, and social growth, enabling them to reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide daily supervision and mentorship to students.
  • Effectively manage household routines and student schedules.
  • Administer medications and ensure overall student wellness.
  • Transport students to activities and engage in developmentally enriching and recreational activities.
  • Lead daily devotions and accompany students to Sunday Chapel, fostering a respectful atmosphere.
  • Oversee budgeting and household reporting responsibilities.

Upon joining, you will initially assist in various student homes, working a schedule of nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off. On weekdays, you will have unscheduled time while students are in school. Eventually, you will transition into a Placed Houseparent role, living and working continuously with the same group of students.

Qualifications:

  • Experience working or volunteering with youth.
  • Must be a legally married couple for a minimum of two years.
  • Both spouses must be 27 years of age or older.
  • No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home.
  • Commitment to maintaining a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol permitted while on duty.
  • Valid U.S. driver's license and ability to obtain certification to drive student home vans.
  • Comfort in leading daily devotions and participating in Judeo-Christian services (proselytizing prohibited).
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Demonstrated integrity and professionalism.
