Position Overview

We are seeking an experiencedSheet Metal Foreman / Lead Mechanicto join our commercial HVAC team. In this role, you will perform installation and repair work, lead field crews, and ensure high‑quality results across commercial and public building projects.

Qualifications & ResponsibilitiesLead Mechanic

Requirements:

  • Minimum5 years of experiencein the sheet metal trade

  • Ability to read and interpret drawings and P&ID schematics

  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

Primary Duties:

  • Provide hands‑on leadership and support to field crews

  • Ensure projects remain on schedule from layout through installation and testing

  • Supervise Lead Mechanics, Mechanics, and Apprentices

  • Install a wide range of commercial HVAC sheet metal systems according to blueprints

  • Perform additional duties as required

Foreman

Requirements:

  • Minimum8 years of experiencein the sheet metal trade

  • Ability to read and interpret drawings and P&ID schematics

  • Strong communication, leadership, and documentation skills

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Primary Duties:

  • Fabricate, assemble, and install sheet metal components related to commercial HVAC systems

  • Oversee subcontractors and coordinate on‑site scheduling

  • Maintain high standards of workmanship and customer satisfaction

  • Build strong working relationships with crews, clients, vendors, and customers

  • Supervise Apprentices, Mechanics, Lead Mechanics, and Journeymen

  • Ensure all work follows blueprints and job specifications

  • Perform other duties as assigned

  • Must possess the essential hand tools for the trade

  • Must be dependable, professional, and a strong team player

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

  • Must pass a post‑offer drug screen and may be subject to background checks (DMV, criminal history)

Physical Demands & Working Conditions

  • May require riding or driving for extended periods

  • Exposure to outdoor weather conditions and varying temperatures

  • Frequent use of hands for handling tools and materials

  • Regular standing, sitting, talking, hearing, climbing, kneeling, stooping, or crawling

  • Occasional lifting of up to50 lbs

  • Potential exposure to construction materials and chemicals (SDS knowledge required)
