Job Details

Title: VDI Specialist - VMWare -Specific
Location: Remote
Duration: Long-term Contract
Client Industry: Technology / Financial Services

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and manage large-scale VDI environments using VMware vSphere and Horizon View.
• Lead configuration and deployment of App Volumes, Dynamic Environment Manager (DEM), and User Persona Management.
• Install, configure, and optimize Microsoft O365, OneDrive, and Slack integrations.
• Manage Windows 11 image builds, patches, updates, and performance tuning.
• Develop and implement GPOs, security baselines, and compliance frameworks.
• Troubleshoot EUC performance issues (login latency, resource utilization, etc.).
• Collaborate with infrastructure/security teams to ensure scalability and stability.
• Implement monitoring, alerts, and capacity reporting for VDI platform health.
• Document configurations and provide knowledge transfer to operations teams.

Qualifications:

• 6-10 years of IT experience with 4+ years in VDI/EUC.
• Strong hands-on experience with VMware Horizon View and vSphere.
• Proficiency in O365, OneDrive, Slack, App Volumes, DEM, and Windows 11 optimization.
• Strong troubleshooting, performance tuning, and communication skills.
• Preferred: VMware VCP, cloud VDI (Azure/ AWS/ Horizon Cloud), PowerShell scripting, financial services background.
