Order Picker / Cherry Picker Operator (Material Handler)

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM

Pay Rate: $17.00/hour

Position Summary

The Order Picker / Cherry Picker Operator is responsible for accurately picking, staging, and preparing warehouse orders for shipment. This role requires operating a cherry picker to retrieve products from elevated racking and safely handling materials throughout the warehouse. Candidates must be comfortable working at heights and using warehouse equipment.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive and review incoming pick tickets
• Locate and retrieve products using RF scanners or voice-picking technology
• Pick orders accurately according to quantity, size, and specifications
• Operate a cherry picker to access inventory stored in high racking
• Build, wrap, and stage pallets for shipment at loading docks
• Restock inventory manually or using warehouse equipment
• Maintain accurate records of completed orders
• Inspect equipment and report any malfunctions or safety concerns
• Follow all safety procedures, quality standards, and warehouse policies

• Prior experience as an order picker or in a warehouse/material handling role
• Experience operating cherry pickers, forklifts, electric pallet jacks, or similar equipment
• Comfortable working at heights
• Experience using RF scanners or voice-picking systems
• Ability to read and write in English
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Reliable, punctual, and safety-minded
• Physically able to perform repetitive lifting, standing, and warehouse duties
• High school diploma or GED preferred
