Job Title: Inspector In-Process - Nights

Pay: $19.69/hour
(Base $17.90 + 10% night shift differential already included)

Training: Will train on Day Shift before moving to nights

Schedule:
6:00 PM - 6:00 AM, Monday-Thursday
Some schedule flexibility required; overtime available

Position Summary

The Inspector In-Process (Nights) role is responsible for testing and inspecting optical fiber and sub-cables at multiple stages of production to ensure product quality, accuracy, and reliability. This position plays a critical role in maintaining manufacturing standards and supporting production goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Select optical fiber and sub-cables for inspection based on production priorities
• Strip fiber and sub-cables and perform testing using OTDR equipment for length, breaks, and attenuation
• Measure and inspect products for wall thickness, diameter, concentricity, print, and color per shop orders
• Evaluate test data to verify compliance with quality standards
• Identify deviations and assist with problem resolution
• Accurately complete all inspection and quality documentation
• Follow all safety procedures and quality guidelines
• Work collaboratively to support production efficiency and product excellence

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• 6+ months of manufacturing, production, or quality experience preferred
• Ability to set up, operate, and monitor testing equipment
• Experience using hand tools and measuring devices
• Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy
• Ability to read and follow instructions and quality procedures
• Comfortable working independently with minimal supervision

Physical Requirements & Work Environment

• Regular standing and walking
• Frequent hands-on inspection and fine manual dexterity
• Must be able to lift and move up to 50 lbs
• Requires strong vision (including color vision) and hearing
• Moderate noise environment with exposure to mechanical equipment and airborne particles
• All required safety equipment provided
