Job role: QA Engineer

Duration: 6+ months contract

Location: Remote

Essential Functions:

The ideal candidate will optimize the on-time and within budget project test execution for client . This role requires clear, concise, and regular communication with Project Management, Engineering, Quality Assurance, and Product Development. The successful candidate will be accountable for ensuring our products are tested thoroughly and to innovate with AI to make us more efficient.

Key Essential Functions:

• Demonstrated experience in enterprise-scale environments supporting one or more of the following: Hybrid public cloud services, production web and Internet communications environment, secure voice and video real-time collaboration, PCI and/or HIPAA audit compliant environment, and smartphone/tablet-based applications.
• Execute test activities on multiple simultaneous projects with competing priorities and provide detailed status of progress.
• Delivery on deadlines based upon commitments to business partners and internal teams.
• Implement continuous development and integration validation processes into our test environments.
• Proven success at being able to quickly research and identify technical solutions to solve problems.
• Collaborate with technical resources to create and maintain technical solutions via proven AI tools and systems to ultimately ensure the final products work as intended and meet customer expectations.
• Provide input on enhancing test planning, procedures, test case management and automated test execution.
• Clearly communicate technical feedback on requirements, design, and technical documentation.
• Proactively communicate status, risks, and issues related to testing and quality.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• A Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in Computer Science, MIS, or a related field.
• A minimum of 5 years progressive, firsthand experience as a test engineer and/or test lead on major initiatives.
• Proven ability and experience in designing and coding test automation for web and/or mobile applications and ability to share / demonstrate this in detail.
• Experience executing test initiatives for projects w/in various SDLC methodologies (i.e., Agile, Scrum and Waterfall) and utilization of test execution tools (i.e., Jira, Zephyr Scale, automation tools).
• Demonstrated experience in cross-functional, cross-disciplinary test management for large-scale corporate/enterprise-wide software development projects.
• Experience collaborating and negotiating with Engineers and Solution Architects.
• Skillful at making thoughtful, data-driven recommendations related to ensuring the delivery of quality solutions for internal and external customers.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience with documenting test plans for major initiatives and defining detailed test cases from requirements and technical design specifications including test execution steps and expected results.
• Experience in taking detailed test execution steps and expected results and creating test automation frameworks from scratch for web and mobile applications.
• Excellent business judgment and a practical, common-sense approach to getting things done.
• Ability to research new technology, learn new coding languages and/or tools quickly, implement AI solutions and share this knowledge with other team members and implement the solution in our environment.
