Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Python Data Engineer with a strong background in Python development and data engineering. The ideal candidate will have at least 3+ years of Python development experience and expertise in data processing, transformation, and optimization. This role requires working in a hybrid model at our Westlake, TX or Ashburn, VA locations.

Key Responsibilities:
• Develop, maintain, and optimize data pipelines using Python.
• Design and implement scalable data architectures to support business needs.
• Work with large datasets and ensure efficient data processing.
• Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and software engineers to enhance data workflows.
• Ensure data integrity, quality, and security best practices are followed.
• Optimize SQL and NoSQL database queries for performance improvements.
• Automate data ingestion and transformation processes.

Requirements

Required Qualifications:

• 3+ years of hands-on Python development experience in a data engineering environment.

• Strong experience with ETL pipelines, data integration, and transformation.

• Proficiency in working with SQL databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, or SQL Server).

• Experience with big data technologies such as Spark, Hadoop, or Kafka.

• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and data services.

• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a collaborative environment.

• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a hybrid setting.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with NoSQL databases like MongoDB or Cassandra.

• Knowledge of containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes).

• Familiarity with data governance and compliance best practices.

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines for data applications.
