Our law firm is looking for the next associate attorney to assist in providing legal counsel to clients. You will work closely with our senior partners andassociates, conduct legal research, draft documents, and maintain client files. Responsibilities

• Investigate and gather evidence related to personal injury cases, including police reports, medical records, and witness statements
• Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery requests
• Negotiate with insurance companies and opposing counsel to reach a settlement agreement
• Represent clients in court hearings, mediations, and arbitrations
• Attend depositions and conduct witness interviews
• Provide clients with regular updates on the status of their case
• Collaborate with other attorneys and legal professionals to develop legal strategies and arguments
• Maintain accurate and complete case files and documentation
• Conduct legal research, prepare for and attend hearings and/or other legal proceedings, and provide legal counsel with the help of senior associate attorneys
• Create legal documents, including correspondence, briefs, motions, pleadings, contracts, affidavits, and settlement agreements for contract negotiations and proceedings
• Maintain client files in an organized fashion to ensure up-to-date information is handy for other attorneys, paralegals and support staff
• Resolve cases efficiently by using communicating effectively with and working alongside senior attorneys and paralegals
• Review client issues on legal matters, analyze available options, and diligently work to determine the best course of action

Qualifications

We are looking for people who are:
• Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school
• Admission to the Utah State Bar (or Arizona)
• Experience practicing personal injury law
• Strong negotiation and communication skills
• Excellent legal research and writing skills
• Ability to manage a caseload and prioritize tasks effectively
• Proven track record of successful settlements and verdicts
• Experience with case management software and technology
• Solution Focused

• Spanish is helpful but not necessary
• Candidates must have passed the bar exam

• Juris Doctorate (J.D.) degree required from an accredited law school
• Solid communication skills and problem-solving skills required in order to work with clients, staff members and senior attorneys
• Active membership with the American Bar Association (ABA)
