Hamilton Miller & Birthisel LLP - Paralegal (Personal Injury Defense)
Hamilton Miller & Birthisel LLP, a premier Florida insurance defense trial law firm, seeks experienced Paralegals to join our statewide litigation defense practice in the area of Personal Injury Defense.
Responsibilities:
- Locate and contact factual witnesses.
- Draft witness and exhibit lists.
- Organize and maintain accurate case documentation.
- Identify and coordinate with experts; assist in preparing hearing and trial notebooks; provide trial support.
- Conduct initial case investigations, gather facts, draft pleadings, and prepare discovery documents (interrogatories, requests for production).
- 3-5 years of Paralegal experience working in a Law Firm or similar legal environment preferred.
- Experience working in the area of Personal Injury Defense.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, able to multitask, and a strong team player.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.
- Familiarity with state and federal court rules.
- Ability to follow client billing guidelines and manage billing entries.
