The Accelint Sr. Vice President of Business Development and Strategy is responsible for leading cross divisional business development teams, capture and proposal management efforts, and strategic planning activities, ensuring disciplined pursuit selection, win-focused execution, and long-term positioning aligned with federal priorities. This position will play a crucial role in shaping where and how Accelint competes, ensuring consistent and repeatable capture success across the organization.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Champions and directs the development of business development strategies and expansion initiatives to meet the growth objectives of the organization.
- Analyzes and drives expansion into new markets, identifies high-value business opportunities to increases market share, and strengthens Accelint's competitive position across its industries.
- Leads and oversees federal capture and proposal development efforts, ensuring the organization produces competitive, compliant, and compelling federal proposals.
- Builds and maintains a multi-year strategic roadmap, including target customers, contract vehicles, and capability investments.
- Collaborates and develops relationships with existing departments, capture leads, and proposal development teams to gain a stronger understanding of existing approaches towards organizational growth strategies.
- Analyzes and forecasts pipeline projections for briefing at stakeholder meetings.
- Evaluates and briefs internal leaders on current market and federal trends to steer capture strategies and objectives to meet changing business environments.
- Coordinates with the CEO and financial teams to determine and calculate appropriate budgeting measures for capture initiatives.
- Manages, develops, and motivates a cross functional and qualified business development team.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications: - An advanced degree in management, business administration, a relevant technical field or related field (or equivalent experience) required.
- At least fifteen (15) years of experience in business development, capture management, growth strategy, or a related position within the federal contracting environment. Demonstrated success leading and winning complex pursuits, including large IDIQs, task orders, recompetes, and strategic new customer entries.
- Experience in a senior leadership role with responsibility for enterprise or multi-business-unit growth.
- A deep understanding of federal acquisition processes, budgeting cycles, contracting vehicles, and source selection methodologies.
- Experience operating across multiple federal customer groups and domains.
- Proven ability to manage and prioritize a diverse pipeline of work across multiple operating portfolios.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance.
Preferred Skills (Not Required): - Demonstrated experience interpreting and applying federal acquisition regulations (FAR, DFARS, agency supplements) to support compliant, competitive proposal development and contract execution.
- Ability to identify, assess, and advise on legal, contractual, and regulatory risks associated with federal bids, teaming agreements, subcontractor arrangements, and pricing strategies.
- An active DoD security clearance.
Physical Requirements: - Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Willingness to travel as required (up to ~25% of the time) to support customer engagement and capture activities.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
Clearance Requirements Some positions will require access to U.S. National Security information. Positions that require this access will be required to receive and maintain a U.S. government personnel security clearance (PCL).
