Our Director, Hospital Sales Representative, plays a vital role within our organization. Once you complete our training, your responsibilities will include leading a team of remote B2B Hospital Sales Representatives (HSRs) who call on acute care hospital pharmacy—responsible for managing them and their performance to achieve sales targets. The Director role is a critical, fast paced, and dynamic role focused on driving impactful customer selling engagements, developing and managing the delivery of excellent selling skills and consistent messaging, and ensuring appropriate reach and frequency to retain and grow existing product penetration and converting new product extensions. The successful candidate for this leadership role thrives on the focus of coaching and developing their direct reports to execute strong selling skills to deepen customer engagement and sales of the Quva sterile injectable portfolio. Leadership responsibilities will also entail the qualitative and quantitative reporting of how their direct reports are performing against target, managing relationships, executing sales calls, key insights generated from customer engagements, and more. This leader will work closely with the Customer Service, Marketing, and Commercial Operations teams to ensure cross team collaboration and coordination as necessary. This role is based remotely. Travel may be required as necessary to corporate headquarters for planning and alignment meetings, to conferences and/or industry meetings, etc.

What the Director, Hospital Sales Representative Does Each Day:

  • Accountable for achieving revenue performance targets and sales objectives
  • Leads remote HSR team through effectively setting expectations, providing coaching, and reporting performance to demonstrate a successful selling discipline to support near and long-term sustained growth
  • Regularly participates in and auditing virtual sales calls via web technologies and/or phone calls—demonstrating expected selling skills and message delivery as needed
  • Builds and retains a highly effective team; brings strong leadership with clear communication, transparent expectations, and clear accountabilities; is a coach and mentor to the team
  • Utilizes systems and data (e.g., Salesforce.com, Tableau, Microsoft BI) to coach, train, and hold accountable HSRs to proper utilization of sales technology, selling engagement activity metrics, and our territory / customer business analysis tools
  • Executes strategies and tactics through effective analysis of available data, conducting account analysis, and utilizing market information and trends
  • Understands and clearly articulates the top priority account engagements with a detailed understanding of both the opportunities and threats
  • Sales Pipeline Management: Drives team to maintain a robust sales pipeline to deliver on annual revenue growth targets
  • Holds team accountable to a customer engagement schedule (e.g., territory routing methodology) that maximizes the reach and frequency of quality customer selling engagements to maximize product growth opportunities across assigned accounts
  • Assesses, coaches, and manages the HSRs ability to articulate and document the value of each selling engagement utilizing our CRM Salesforce.com
  • Drives the lead follow up process with the HSR sales team to ensure rapid action against leads and sales growth opportunities that are created
  • Researches, understands, and can report on our product line and is familiar with each product's function and purpose to confidently cross-sell / upsell our customers to compatible products plus understands how each account maintains and utilizes the medication and 503B outsourcing service we provide
  • Deploys training, tools, data, and other resources to support his/her group in achieving and maintaining optimal performance levels
  • Drives the knowledge transfer from the market inside to company to raise the knowledge level of the organization with regards to competitive activity, market insights and industry trends, especially in order to inform our Sales & Operations (S&OP) demand forecasting and planning processes

Minimum Requirements for this Role:
  • Bachelor's degree
  • 10 years' sales experience inclusive of 5+ years' sales leadership level experience in B2B pharmaceutical / healthcare / services selling industries
  • Must have experience leading sales teams that are remote, g. inside sales or virtual sales organizations where daily sales interactions occur via web-based platforms or phone calls
  • Experience with medication management in a hospital market or familiarity with supply chain dynamics impacting the hospital administration or Pharmacy Dept levels
  • Experience managing sales teams and consistently meeting or exceeding financial and/or other quantitative targets, as well as qualitative goals
  • Efficiency with MS Office suite
  • Efficiency with salesforce.com as the CRM platform
  • Strong business acumen in sales training within a sales team
  • Able to successfully complete a drug and background check
  • Must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis; Quva is not able to sponsor applicants for work visas
