Estimates liabilities, establishes premium rates, and supports financial analysis and reporting./ppstrongEssential Job Duties/strong/pulliCollaborates with actuarial team to complete incurred but not reported (IBNR) estimates and rate adequacy studies, and documents assumptions./liliAnalyzes results to identify early signs of trends or other issues related to medical care costs./liliDesigns and performs actuarial studies related to medical care costs and trends./liliGenerates and distributes routine reports to support IBNR calculations, pricing and financial reporting./liliExtracts and compiles information from various systems to support executive decision-making./liliResearches and develops reports and analysis for senior leadership, and effectively communicates results./liliAssists in the preparation of claim experience reports, rate models and state regulatory reports./li/ulpstrongRequired Qualifications/strong/pulliAt least 1 year of actuarial experience, or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience./liliAt least 2 passing Society of Actuaries (SOA) exams./liliBachelors degree in actuarial, mathematics, statistics, economics or related field./liliAdvanced understanding of statistics/predictive analytics./liliDemonstrated problem-solving skills./liliStrong critical-thinking and attention to detail./liliAbility to effectively collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders./liliStrong time-management skills, and ability to manage simultaneous projects and tasks to meet internal deadlines./liliUnderstands the basic concepts of insurance, as well as key actuarial/technical terminology related to area of practice./liliConsistently provides accurate and timely work product./liliEffective verbal and written communication skills./liliProficient in Microsoft Office suite products, including key skills in Excel (VLOOKUPs and pivot tables), and applicable software program(s) proficiency./li/ulpTo all current Molina employees: If you are interested in applying for this position, please apply through the Internal Job Board./ppMolina Healthcare offers a competitive benefits and compensation package.
