Building and Grounds Maintenance Technician

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Building and Grounds Maintenance Technician to join our client's team. This position is responsible for maintaining the overall condition, safety, and appearance of buildings, surrounding grounds, and equipment. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with facility upkeep, preventive maintenance of machines and tools, and general repair work to ensure all systems and property assets operate efficiently.

Hours are Monday - Friday 7:00am - 4:30pm

Duties

1. Perform routine building and grounds maintenance, including minor repairs to electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and structural systems.
2. Conduct scheduled preventive maintenance on machines, tools, and facility equipment to reduce downtime and extend equipment life.
3. Inspect buildings, grounds, and equipment to identify maintenance needs, safety concerns, or potential issues and implement corrective actions.
4. Maintain the appearance of facilities through painting, patching, and general upkeep of interior and exterior areas.
5. Assist with grounds maintenance tasks such as basic landscaping, exterior cleaning, and seasonal upkeep as needed.
6. Support and coordinate maintenance projects, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and according to established standards.
7. Maintain accurate records of preventive maintenance, repairs performed, and supplies or equipment inventory.
8. Work collaboratively with team members to promote a safe, clean, and well-maintained environment.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of building and grounds maintenance practices and procedures.
• Experience performing preventive maintenance on machinery, tools, and facility equipment.
• Mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot and perform basic repairs.
• Familiarity with painting and general facility maintenance to maintain building appearance.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English with supervisors and team members.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and a commitment to safety.
