Main position objectives
The Electrical Engineer/Programmer provides the highest quality electrical design of control systems on the Maag family of equipment. Working independently but supported by sales and sales engineering, the incumbent is the electrical PLC representative for the customer's controls equipment.
Requires a thorough knowledge of Engineering and Manufacturing practices and methodologies.
Must have an in-depth understanding of 3-phase motor controls, Allen Bradley, Siemens PLC's, programming and HMI screen design, and related products.
Must be able to read & understand motor control ladder logic drawings. Motor control design ability is a must, along with valve control, relays, timers and related control equipment.
A thorough knowledge of Siemens and Allen Bradley controls is a must.
MS Office experience is a plus. MS Excel experience is a must.
Ability to work effectively with networking, and internet devices is a plus.
Bachelor's or Associates Degree in Electrical Engineering / Technology, or a related field of education, or relevant experience is required.
Some travel to customer's facility to assist in startups should be expected at times.

Work Environment
Generally, electrical engineers/programmers work in a plant setting. One of their main tools include a computer with proprietary software to create, and modify their programs. While performing the duties of this job in a plant setting, the employee may be exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration, hot equipment, hot and cold weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud and PPE may be required.

Schedule: Monday to Friday 2 Shift 3 Shift Other: possible weekends, night hours or holidays as needed
Travel frequency in % (e.g. 1 week per month = 25%)
25% - average trip is 5 days in duration; international trips could last up to 3 weeks.
