The primary purpose of this job is to lead, direct and manage all facility and maintenance activities within a multibuilding site, including staffing, equipment, process, and structure, in a reliable and efficient manner minimizing interruption to production.
Accountabilities & Responsibilities:
Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Natural Science, Facilities Management or other related field.
Minimum Experience: 10+years of experience in a manufacturing environment with 5+ years in a managerial capacity.
Special Skills: Demonstrates effective verbal and written communication skills. Successfully interacts and cooperates with diverse groups within the company. Shows demonstrable skills with all equipment related to the department operations.
Specialized Knowledge: Strategic problem solving approach, attentive to detail, well organized and able to meet deadlines. Knowledge of OSHA, EIP, DOT and IATA regulations including lasers, radiation, process safety, emergency response and permitting. Familiar with production procedures and manufacturing equipment. Has thorough knowledge of procedures, work methods, and set-ups within the department.
Physical Requirements: -Computer work -Must be able to lift twenty (20) pounds. -Must be flexible in shift assignments since shift substitution may be required. -Must have the ability to physically interact with individuals at work stations within the department and with support groups
