Overview:

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated individuals to join our team as Direct Support Professionals. As a Direct Support Professional, you will play a vital role in providing support and assistance to individuals with developmental disabilities. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact in the lives of others.

Responsibilities:

• Assist individuals with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and grooming

• Administer medications according to prescribed guidelines

• Provide direct support and supervision to individuals with developmental disabilities

• Assist with meal planning, preparation, and feeding

• Engage individuals in recreational and social activities

• Maintain a clean and safe environment for individuals

• Perform heavy lifting as needed to assist individuals with mobility

• Collaborate with healthcare professionals and families to ensure individual needs are met

Qualifications:

• Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred

• Knowledge of medication administration protocols is a plus

• Ability to provide direct support and care in a compassionate manner

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

• Willingness to learn and adapt to the needs of individuals with disabilities

• Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods

Note: Prior experience in nursing homes, childcare, or assisted living facilities can be transferable skills for this position.

We utilize a 6-week rotation schedule for full time employees:

• Week 1: Monday and Tuesday off
• Week 2: Tuesday and Wednesday off
• Week 3: Wednesday and Thursday off
• Week 4: Thursday and Friday off
• Week 5: Friday, Saturday and Sunday off
• Week 6: Saturday, Sunday and Monday off All staff are required to work 4 hours on Thanksgiving and Christmas (to be paid for 8) and working any major holiday is compensated with a holiday bonus. We are currently hiring for all shifts.
