The Linen Technician is responsible for managing and maintaining the linen supply within a medical facility. This position plays a crucial role in ensuring that clean and adequate linens are readily available to support patient care and facility operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collect, sort, and deliver clean linens to various departments within the facility.
• Retrieve and transport soiled linens to designated areas for cleaning.
• Maintain accurate records of linen inventory and report discrepancies or shortages.
• Ensure that linen storage areas are organized, clean, and compliant with facility standards.
• Assist in restocking shelves and replenishing carts as needed.
• Follow all safety and infection control guidelines to maintain a hygienic environment.
• Collaborate with the laundry services team to coordinate timely processing and delivery.

Physical Demands:

• Linen Technicians walk approximately 10 miles per day throughout the hospital delivering clean linen and collecting soiled linen.
• Must be able to push and pull carts that can weigh up to 700 pounds.
• Ability to lift and move heavy loads and stand for long periods.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in a healthcare or linen service role preferred.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining cleanliness standards.

Working Conditions:

• May involve exposure to soiled linens and biohazard materials.
• Work shifts may include evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed.
