Description:

Eaton's ES GEIS CHD division is currently seeking a Assembler. The core hours are 5:00am to 1:30pm. The hourly rate for this position is 20.78 per hour.

What you'll do:

Basic assembly work to assemble parts to create a complete and quality product. Assemblers use hand tools, power tools, and pneumatic tools to successfully carry out production. Assemblers work on dynamic lines with teammates to assemble products. Assemblers need to maintain a safe and secure work environment.

  • Follow safety procedures in order to maintain a safe work environment
  • Use hands or hand tools to secure, mount, or bolt parts into place
  • Use power or air-powered tools to secure, mount, or bolt parts into place
  • Disassemble and reassemble parts to ensure production
  • Read production orders to determine material requirements or assembly instructions
  • Communicate with teammate to assemble product
  • Use paint, polish, sand paper, or lubricant to finish product
  • Lift products on and off production line
  • Package, prepare, or tag products in order to be shipped
  • Understand quota requirements to accomplish required production level


Qualifications:

Basic (Required) Qualifications:
  • Must have a high school diploma or GED from an accredited institution.

Position Criteria:

  • Mechanical- Knowledge of machines and tools, including their uses.
  • Production and Processing- Knowledge of raw materials, production processing, and quality control.
  • Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs.
  • Remain standing for an extended period of time up to 10 hours
  • Able to perform constant movement of the arms
  • Information Ordering - The ability to arrange things or actions in a certain order or pattern according to a specific rule or set of rules (e.g., patterns of numbers, letters, words, pictures, mathematical operations).
  • Memorization - The ability to remember information such as words, numbers, pictures, and procedures.
  • Manual Dexterity - The ability to quickly move your hand, your hand together with your arm, or your two hands to grasp, manipulate, or assemble objects.
  • Visual Color Discrimination - The ability to match or detect differences between colors, including shades of color and brightness.
  • Near Vision - The ability to see things at a close distance
  • Active Listening- Giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times.
  • Speaking - Talking to others to convey information effectively.
  • Reading Comprehension - Understanding written sentences and paragraphs in work related documents.
  • Critical Thinking - Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.
  • Critical Coordination - Adjusting actions in relation to others' actions.
  • Time Management - Managing one's own time.
  • Management of Material Resources - Obtaining and seeing to the appropriate use of equipment, facilities, and materials needed to do certain work.
  • Operation Monitoring - Watching gauges, dials, or other indicators to make sure a machine is working properly.
