Position Title: Industrial Electrician/Facilities Manager

Business Unit: MAAG Gala, Inc.

Reports To: Director Operations

Position Location: Eagle Rock, VA Position Type: Full-time Leadership responsibility: Yes

Main Position Objectives

The Industrial Electrician oversees the installation, repair and maintenance of electrical systems within the facility. Leads a maintenance team and the overall facility maintenance program. This includes testing of equipment to determine if components of a system need upgraded or replaced. Check switches, motors, regulators and other parts of an electrical system as required.

Position Description Tasks, Responsibilities, Competencies

Leads the maintenance team and overall program for facility maintenance.

Troubleshoot problems with electrical equipment

Repair and maintain existing equipment

Maintain repair and maintenance logs and records

Coordinate electrical installation of new equipment

Secures quotes and provides recommendation on equipment and CapEx investments.

Works overtime hours as necessary.

Installation and maintenance of test equipment in the assembly bays

Perform regularly scheduled maintenance/preventative maintenance on established schedules

Installation of electrical services to various areas within the warehouse and office areas as required.

Works with outside services and utility companies for 3rd party work and projects.

Work Environment

Work in this position is both in an office and a factory floor environment. While performing the duties of this job in a factory setting, the employee may be exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud and PPE may be required.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing. The employee must be able to lift items up to 50 pounds.

The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Job Specification

Education (area of studies, Management, IT etc.)

Mandatory Journeyman Electrical license

Strong aptitude in reading electrical schematics/drawings.

Desirable Computer literate, good verbal and written communication skills

Electrical Engineering Degree

Experience with Arc Flash 70E standards.

Professional Experience

Mandatory Min 3 years of experience in industrial electrician

Strong aptitude in reading electrical schematics/drawings.

Minimum 3 years' experience in a manufacturing environment

Working knowledge with calibrators, counters, probes, scopes and meters used in the electrical profession.

Desirable Experience with Arc Flash 70E standards
